Q: What do you believe are your key strengths?
A: My key strengths lie in my in-depth system knowledge, organizational skills, and my knack for fostering positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners. I’m also very familiar with how the system works, not only from a technical standpoint, but also how we present it to our prospects and clients.
Q: How do you keep track of the things you need to do?
A: I track all my notes and action items in One Note. It’s always open on my desktop so it’s quite easy to take notes for my meetings and refer to throughout the day. I color code and highlight my tasks so I can easily track what’s done and what needs to be done.
Q: What makes you happy in a job?
A: For me, the feeling of being content in a job comes from growth, learning, and purpose. I like challenges that push me to think outside the box or bring various team members together as I continue to expand my knowledge. At the same time, it feels great to see the positive impact of the work I’m doing – both for clients and for other GTreasury members.
Q: Why do you feel you have work/life balance? Do you have any tips/tricks for others to improve their work/life balance?
A: I’ve been able to maintain a satisfying work/life balance by practicing time management. Remote work requires discipline, so my advice for others is to set specific work hours and spend time outside of work to pursue interests or hobbies.
Q: Think about a good manager you’ve had. What did they do that made them a good manager?
A: A good manager is one who pushes you out of your comfort zone to help you grow professionally and sometimes even personally, all while having your back.
Q: What do you like about the work environment or culture here?
A: I really like the company’s commitment to employee growth and development. The emphasis on continuous learning and mentorship opportunities has not only helped me excel in my role but has also made me feel valued and invested in my career. The other quality I love about GTreasury is the balance of focus between our clients and our employees. We balance the focus on both because they both run our business.
Q: Who are some of your biggest inspirations at GTreasury?
AOne of my biggest inspirations in GTreasury has been my former manager, Terry Beadle, who brought a wealth of industry experience and expertise to our company. Additionally, I collaborate with various teams in my role and the diverse talent across different departments has been a constant source of inspiration.
Q: How have you grown professionally at GTreasury?
A: I’ve been here for over seven years and have been fortunate to work in four different roles across three different departments. This diversity has expanded my skills and given me a holistic view of our operations. The people I’ve collaborated with have been incredible mentors, setting high standards and inspiring me. My colleagues’ support and camaraderie have made each role transition smooth. I’m pleased to have had the trust, opportunities, and professional growth I’ve experienced here.
Q: What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?
A: Ask questions, even when you think it’s something you should know. Also, own what you do, whether it’s a success or a failure. It’s important to hold yourself accountable and be confident in yourself.
Q: What’s something you are passionate about outside of the workplace?
A: I love traveling and experiencing different cultures and cuisines. My experiences from traveling have made a lasting impact on how I perceive life and appreciate the people around me. I also enjoy reading, hiking, and caring for my plants.
